Terms of Service

Version 1.0 — effective 25 September 2026. Covers Acceptable Use, your content, billing, and general terms. See also our Privacy Policy.

⚖️
Not a substitute for legal advice. This is a good-faith terms document reflecting Blockplan's actual functionality as of its effective date. Sections marked (legal review) should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer, especially the governing-law and liability sections, before this is relied on as a binding contract at real commercial scale.

1. Acceptance

By using Blockplan (blockplan.build) — with or without an account — you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. If you're using Blockplan on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. What Blockplan is

Blockplan is a browser-based tool for planning Minecraft Bedrock Edition builds in a 3D grid and exporting them as a behavior pack that can be loaded into Minecraft. The core editor works entirely client-side; creating an account additionally lets you save build projects to the cloud and (on the paid plan) unlock higher limits.

3. Your account

  • You must provide a real, working email address and keep your password confidential.
  • You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away (§14) if you believe it's been compromised.
  • One person/entity, one account — don't create multiple accounts to evade plan limits or a suspension.
  • You can delete your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy §9 for exactly what that does.

4. Your content & what you're allowed to upload

You own what you create. Build designs, project names, and any images you process through Blockplan's tools remain yours. We claim no ownership over your content. By saving a project to your cloud account, you grant us only the limited, technical license necessary to store, back up, and serve that content back to you — nothing more (we don't use your content to train any model, and we don't publish, sell, or share it with anyone else).

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. This includes any image you run through the "Photo to Block Art" tool (see Privacy Policy §3 for how those are processed — entirely in your own browser). You're responsible for making sure you have the rights or permission needed to use any image you process, even though that processing never leaves your device.

Prohibited content. You may not use Blockplan to create, store, or attempt to distribute through it:

  • Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other IP rights;
  • Content that's illegal where you or we operate, including child sexual abuse material (which we will report to the relevant authorities if encountered), or material promoting terrorism or genuine violence against real people;
  • Malware, exploit code, or anything designed to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to a system (including someone else's Minecraft world/server);
  • Content that impersonates another person or organization in a misleading way.

5. Acceptable use

Don't:

  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, plan limits, Turnstile verification, or authentication;
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Blockplan's systems without our prior written permission (if you've found a real security issue, we'd genuinely like to hear about it responsibly — see §14);
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to create accounts or access the service at a volume a normal human user wouldn't;
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to others as your own product without our written permission;
  • Reverse-engineer the service except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.

We may investigate and take action — including rate-limiting, suspension, or termination — against accounts that violate this section.

6. Intellectual property

Blockplan's own software, design, branding, and the block-data catalog we compiled are our property (or our licensors'), protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you, beyond the limited right to use the app as intended.

7. Copyright complaints & takedowns

Because build projects saved to a cloud account are private to that account by default (not publicly shared or browsable by other users), the realistic surface for a third-party copyright complaint is narrow today. If that changes — e.g. if we add public sharing in the future — this section will be updated with a formal DMCA-style notice-and-takedown procedure at that time. In the meantime, if you believe something accessible through Blockplan infringes your copyright, email blockplan.build@gmail.com with:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
  • The specific location/material you're referring to;
  • Your contact information; and
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized, and that the information you've provided is accurate.

We'll review and respond in a reasonable time. (legal review: adopt a formal DMCA §512 safe-harbor procedure, including a registered DMCA agent, before/if public sharing of user content ships.)

8. Paid plans, billing & cancellation

ℹ️
Billing is not yet enabled in production as of this policy's effective date (payments are still in Paddle's sandbox/test mode). This section describes how it's designed to work once enabled, so it's ready in advance — but no real charges can currently occur.
  • Paid ("Pro") subscriptions are billed and processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as merchant of record — your payment relationship for billing/tax/refund purposes is with Paddle, under Paddle's Buyer Terms, in addition to these Terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until canceled. You can cancel any time from your account's billing settings; you'll keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period, with no partial-period refund by default.
  • Specific refund requests are handled case by case in line with Paddle's own refund policy and applicable consumer-protection law (in the Maldives, the Consumer Protection Act (Law No. 12/2020) gives consumers certain rights in connection with digital/online purchases — see the Privacy Policy §10 for more on the legal landscape). (legal review: finalize a specific refund window/policy before enabling real billing.)
  • We may change plan pricing or limits going forward; we won't change the price of an active billing period you've already paid for.

9. Relationship to Minecraft/Mojang

Blockplan is an independent, unofficial fan tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios, Microsoft, or the Minecraft brand. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB / Microsoft; we use it only to describe compatibility, per common nominative-use practice. Exported packs are ordinary Minecraft Bedrock behavior packs, subject to Minecraft's own EULA when loaded into the game.

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that materially violates these Terms, after a reasonable attempt to notify you where practical (immediate action may be taken for serious abuse, security threats, or legal requirements). You can stop using Blockplan and delete your account at any time (Privacy Policy §9).

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Blockplan is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exported packs will work in every version of Minecraft. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Blockplan and its operator(s) won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including, where applicable, rights you have under the Maldives Consumer Protection Act (Law No. 12/2020) or another jurisdiction's mandatory consumer-protection law). (legal review: this section is drafted broadly and should be tailored/verified for the specific jurisdiction(s) Blockplan actually serves.)

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Maldives, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable local consumer-protection law in your own country gives you rights these Terms can't override. (legal review: confirm this choice of law and add a dispute-resolution/venue clause appropriate to your actual business structure.)

13. Changes to these terms

We'll update the version/date at the top of this page for any material change. Continuing to use Blockplan after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
